Creating a scrapbook full of photos and memories is just so much fun, and kids especially love being part of creating a beautiful Disney scrapbook album. So why not encourage them to help you and include them into the whole design and theme of the album? You will be surprised at the ideas and suggestions they will have if you just let them be part of it and contribute to the whole project.
I would let your child go through the photos and chose which ones they want to use for the project, it will depend how many photos they select, but it may be an actual trip to Disneyland or the holidays, Christmas, a birthday or a whole year in their life. Your child’s age, gender and preferences will decide which Disney characters or theme the Disney scrapbook album takes on.
If your child is a girl it might be the Disney Princesses, a boy might go for a Cars theme, a younger child might prefer a Winnie The Pooh theme, older children might prefer the actual Mickey and Friends characters. Remember when we say a Disney Scrapbook, that can mean many things, it can be about Disneyland or not and it can be any number of characters, Disney has so many to choose from.
Just some of the Disney characters are Mickey Mouse and Friends, Winnie The Pooh, Lilo and Stitch, Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Chip n Dale, The Lion King, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Tarzan, WALL-E, Bolt and Cars. That is only some of them, I will try to compile a list of all of the ones I know of and list them on here for everyone who might be interested.
It depends of course on your budget and whether you already have the supplies you need or if you are about to purchase them. But if you do not have the album or supplies yet, then let your child chose the theme, which will include the actual Disney scrapbook album, the characters they would prefer, some stickers and embellishments and perhaps some of the paper and cardstock.
If you are already into scrapbooking then I image you will have all the other necessary items and supplies to start creating wonderful layouts for your Disney scrapbook. One suggestion here is that I would recommend you having some say over the colors of the cardstock and papers, this does depend on the age of the child, but sometimes a bit of adult help with which colors go well together doesn’t go astray.
Next it is just a matter of sitting down with them and helping them create a fantastic Disney scrapbook that will be treasured now and in many years to come. The level of assistance you will need to give your child will of course depend again on their age and ability.
But it really is such a wonderful thing to do if your child is interested in it, as it will be quality time together and you will be teaching them a new craft, just like your mom taught you a craft or skill when you were young. It will be a memory your child will always have of that time you helped them to make a Disney scrapbook.
